“That trip taught me many life lessons. From the things i saw to the ones I experienced myself. I remembered there was this one particular moment of difficulty i faced during the journey, i had to remind myself of the story of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire, the angel Jibreel (peace be upon him) asked him, ‘Do you need anything?’ Prophet Ibrahim answered, ‘Nothing from you. Allah knows my condition (status).’”

From Samaha

Carnival of Islam in the West #12 is up at http://samaha.wordpress.com/2007/08/10/carnival-of-islam-in-the-west-12th-edition/ and http://samaha.blogger.ba/arhiva/2007/08/10/1076555 (Bosnian blog).
For those of you that aren’t familiar with Carnival of Islam in the West, the carnival is an effort to allow Muslims in the West to express what life is like for Muslims living in the West. It is meant to be a voice for Muslims in the West, a significant portion of the Ummah because not only do Westerners not know what is really going on in the Middle East, but many do not know that there are Muslims in the West. Lastly the carnival is meant to bring together and strengthen the Ummah from every corner of the world initially concentrating on the West and growing from there.
The above links will lead you to 20 articles composed by 14 different bloggers. Enjoy!
{extended}

by samaha

Assalamu Alaikum Everyone,

I’m hosting The Carnival of Islam in the West that will appear on my own blog on August 10, 2007.

Since I have not been able to post to my own blog as regularly as I once did and since I haven’t been frequenting other blogs and commenting my traffic has been way down. While this isn’t really an issue for me as blogging has had to take back-burner to life it isn’t exactly a hospitable environment for getting submissions for a Carnival (which I commited to a few months back).

But the show must go on, right?

So, I thought that maybe this is a good place (along with some personal e-mails) to remind everyone of the Carnival.

So, if you would like to make a submission, you may follow this link: http://blogcarnival.com/bc/submit_424.html and feel free to submit all the way through August 9, 2007.

Thanks and Salams,
